Yiqifei Travel Shenzhen China?

by moyang ·

I have been writing to a lady in China involved with the above agency. I am increasingly suspicious of a scam. I would like to meet her, but she only wants to come to Australia, which involves me providing “adequate funds” to obtain a 3 month visitors visa to Australia. Anybody know of, or had similar experiences ??

China vacations travel guide – Shenzhen travel info

by moyang ·

This article is about the China vacations and Shenzhen travel. You can find some useful information in it if you are planning your Shenzhen travel now.

Shenzhen is a city of sub-provincial administrative status in southern China’s Guangdong province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong. Owing to China’s economic liberalization under the policies of reformist leader Deng Xiaoping, the area became China’s first – and ultimately most successful – Special Economic Zone. The best time to visit Shenzhen is October – March (next year).

Eat in Shenzhen:
There are all kinds of restaurants in Shenzhen and the price is not high. The sea food here is very cheap comparing with other big Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, etc. If you are a student, you can find the delicious Guilin ground rice all over Shenzhen and it is only about 5 – 7 rmb. The Mcdonald’s and KFC are also very easy to find here in Shenzhen. For the big Chinese restaurants, you can try the special price dishes first. Sometimes you can get very good deals in these places (Young pigeon for 8 rmb, 1 kilogramme of shrimp for 16 rmb) .

Hotels in Shenzhen:
If you have some friends working in the big companies of Shenzhen, you can ask them to book the hotels for you. Usually, the employees of these big Shenzhen companies can get very good deals for you (comparing with what you can get online). The hostel is another good option for you. I recommend the Zdwe Hostel of Shenzhen. It is located in: 16 Tonggulu Street, 5th floor of Zhonghelou building, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. The cost is very low here (only 20 rmb for one person). Here is the phone number: 0136 – 0253 – 5943.

Taxi and bus services in Shenzhen:
The taxi service is a little bit expensive in Shenzhen. The city bus is another good option for your Shenzhen travel. You can call the number – 160, if you don’t know which bus can take you to your destination. The buses in Shenzhen are all self-service ticketing buses and you will need to prepare some coins for them. The services of these buses are not bad and you can ask the bus driver to tell you when and where to get off. ( From Travel2ChinaInfo Dot COM, you can get more info about the China vacations, Lhasa travel and Beijing flights. )

The scenic spots of Shenzhen:
(1). Dameisha and Xiaomeisha Beaches:
Dameisha and Xiaomeisha beaches are located at Dapeng Bay. Dubbed “Hawaii of the East,” the beaches are popular recreational areas during holidays.

(2). Overseas Chinese Town:
Located in the western part of Shenzhen, Overseas Chinese Town embraces the theme parks of Window of the world, Splendid China, China Folk Culture Villages and Happy Valley. The parks feature a wide variety of replicas of natural scenery and historical architecture, reflecting the essence of traditional Chinese and international culture. The area serves as a model for the city in urban planning, construction and horticulture.

(3). Shennan Thoroughfare:
Running through downtown Shenzhen and extending 17.2km, Shennan Thoroughfare is one of the busiest streets in Shenzhen. Many landmark buildings are along this street. It is also a representation of Shenzhen‘s night scenery.

Explore Scenic Shenzhen, China

by moyang ·

Situated in Guangdong Province, China, Shenzhen is a city with a population of over 12 million people. Any of the travel guides of China does not say much about this city except the fact that it is good only for shopping.

The impression is changed now due to its fast growth. Shenzhen is a sub-provincial city of southern China and is well-known for its great immediacy with the border of Hong Kong. Shenzhen is a hub of foreign investment and it has been one of the fastest growing cities in the world since the late 1970s. It also holds the busiest port in China after Shanghai. Now-a-days Shenzhen is a lively, multi-ethnic city that offers variety of cultural and leisure venues for travelers, as well as endless shopping and dining.

Shenzhen has three most famous city center places, Diwang Building, Grand Theater and Citizens’ Center, which attract thousand of tourists year round. With 69 floors, Diwang building is the tallest building in Shenzhen and is the symbol city’s fast growth. This building is home to the most high-status firms in the city. You can have a view over the whole city from the viewing deck in the 68th floor. Mix C, a multi-storied shopping center, is situated just opposite to the Diwang building. It has ice rink, cinema, and lots of international style restaurants.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange is situated near the Diwang. Completely renovated in 2006, Grand Theater is the best place to enjoy classical music and traditional Chinese music events. Near the Grand Theater is Lychee Park. A picture of Deng Xiao Peng, the “father of Shenzhen”, is displayed on the signboard which is placed on the corner of the park. Deng Xiao Peng made the plan to develop Shenzhen in to a global scale metropolis from a fishing village.

Citizens’ Center was built when the government decided to change the central business district out of the city center. Citizens’ Center is a large government building with “bird shape” roof. Children’s Palace amusement center and exemplary New Shenzhen Library near the Citizen’s Center are also worth visiting. New Exhibition Center which is built in typical Shenzhen style is around half a mile from the Citizens’ Center.

The Window of the World, Chinese Folk Culture Villages, Happy Valley, Splendid China, the Dameisha Promenade, the Safari Park in Nanshan district, Xiaomeisha Beach Resort in Yantian district, Zhongying Street, Xianhu Lake Botanical Garden, and Minsk World are some of the major place of tourist interest. There are several public park which offers free admission including Lianhuashan Park, Lizhi Park and Wutongshan Park. Shenzhen has several well-known restaurants which provide various mouth-watering cuisines and you can taste your favorite food from these restaurants.

The Window of the World is a theme park which is situated in the western part of Shenzhen. It holds around 130 reproductions of some of the well-known tourist attractions in the world. Sprawls around an area of about 480,000 square meters, the park houses the models of 108 meter tall Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal. The park also holds several international restaurants and mini exhibitions on well-known figures from world history.

In Window of the World you can eat Mexican food, see the Niagara Falls and stroll around Angkor Wat. It will take half a day to explore the whole park. Firework and laser shows will be there in the end of the day. You can enjoy Fervorous Paris Nights at Caesar’s Palace in the evenings. Happy Valley is another major tourist spot in Shenzhen. Several sightseeing areas are there in Happy Valley which includes Cartoon City, Mt. Advantage, Gold Mine Town, Shangri-la Woods, Sunshine Beach, Typhoon Bay, Happy Times, Playa Maya Water Park and Spanish Square are also worth a visit. Attractions in the Happy Valley include the Gold Mine Train, Space Port, suspended Looping Coaster and Shoot the Cute.

Splendid China, a complete miniature park, is capable of satisfying the visitors. It reflects the history, art, culture, ancient architecture, and customs and habits of various nationalities in the country. Developed and managed by the major travel and tourist corporation, China Travel Services, it is also the largest scenery parks in the world. The Minsk World, a military theme park, is situated in Dapeng Bay, Shenzhen. Opened on May 10, 2000, the park ground holds the huge former Soviet aircraft carrier. Shenzhen travel info for your China vacations

by moyang ·

This article is about the night life in Shenzhen. You can find some useful information in it if you are planning your Shenzhen travel now.

The city of Shenzhen, a new beautiful city of south China, is located just across from Hong Kong. The city has been the focus of intense urbanization, known as Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SSEZ). Comparison of the satellite images in Google Earth shows the dramatic change in the landscape from 1979 to 2004, as thousands of high-rise buildings and factories have replaced previous agricultural and vegetated areas. (info for your China travel and vacations)

You can find a lot of nice pubs and bars in Shenzhen:

(1). Shengbaoluo:

You can see some Hongkong pop stars here. Now this place is not a disco club anymore and it is not so attractive to the young people now.

(2). Hongguan:

It was open on 2002. The light system here is cool. There is a stage for the live shows here (working flair shows). The dancing shows here are very fashionable. You can see the imitation shows of the most popular American and Japanese pop stars in Hongguan. Pretty cool!  In a word, this place is a very good choice for the fashionable young people. ( by the way, the beer sales here are very beautiful, :-)   )

(3). Chicago:

It is called the most popular night club for the white-collar in Shenzhen. It is located in the Shenzhen statium. There are also some nice bars in this area. The music here can make you high and you can see lots of beautiful girls here. :-)

(4). Dafuhao:

This is my favourite night club in Shenzhen. The cost is not very high here. The 1st floor is the disco hall and 2nd floor is the KTV. The restaurant is in the 3rd floor. (info for your China vacations and tours)

Some tips for your Shenzhen travel:

Crime levels in Shenzhen are significantly higher than in neighbouring Hong Kong. That being said, it is still no reason to panic as the crime levels are still comparable with any of the great Western cities like Sydney, London or New York. Use your usual common sense and avoid going to deserted places alone at night, and you will probably be fine.

Shenzhen has lots of pickpockets, especially in areas around bus and train stations. Also watch out for groups of children, who will tackle and hold you around your legs until you give them money to go away. (useful info for your China vacations and trips)

Leave your passports in your hotel’s safe deposit. Divide your cash by stuffing some in your pants pocket too.

Be careful to exchange money only with recognized places or people as they may give you fake currency. To be safe, only do your currency exchange at the Bank of China.

Be sure to keep an eye on the bigger notes (¥100 especially) given during payment to the salespeople, they may exchange it under the table while you are not looking and claim that you have given them a fake note. It is recommended to always keep loose change (smaller denominations) while taking a taxi or shopping at the market.

Executive Travel In Shenzhen, China

by moyang ·

Shenzhen city is located in the south most portion of Guangdong province and is in the shore of Perl River Delta. The first special economic zone of china was built in Shenzhen. Thus rapid economic development was the result of that. There are no special historical attractions in Shenzhen then too there are large numbers of theme parks in the place. Thus an executive travel in Shenzhen is surely a splendid experience.

Splendid China and China folk cultural villages are some among the very attractive places to be visited in Shenzhen city. These will introduce the tourists to China’s varied history along with its culture. The window of the world is yet another attraction which will take the visitors through each and every corner of the world. Happy valley is the most attractive theme park situated in Shenzhen and good value. Due to the reason that Shenzhen is overpopulated by people from different parts of china itself, the cultural diversity of the Chinese could be most effectively seen in Shenzhen. Due to this reason the tourists are able to taste the food from China’s 8 different cuisines in Shenzhen itself.

Due to the developed economy it is easier to reach Shenzhen through air, train or ship. Again Shenzhen is the only city in china where the three different modes of transport are provided with. Staying at Shenzhen is not that worrisome as there are lots of hotels available awaiting tourists. Now Shenzhen is one among the fastest growing cities in the world. There are lots of shopping malls there in Shenzhen. The line up includes Coco Park, MixC, and Kingglory etc. The Shenzhen stock exchange is a situated in Shenzhen and is a multinational stock exchange. It comes under the china securities regulatory commission. The city is located in the Chinese subtropical part and is nearer to the tropic of cancer. This makes the climate of Shenzhen to be pleasant i.e. mild in autumn and cool in winter.

The world’s ninths tallest building is situated at Shenzhen. This is the Shun Hing Square. Thus there are lots of tall buildings in Shenzhen. The international trade center is also located in Shenzhen. Thus Shenzhen has got good name in the world tourism map as a place nice for shopping and travel. Splendid china, safari park in Nan Shan district, Xiaomeisha beach resort, Zhongying Street, Xianhu lake botanical garden, Minsk world are all some of the attractions seen in Shenzhen. It is also very much famous for the variety cuisines provided by the various restaurants.

As Shenzhen is located much nearer to Pearl River delta it has got a port and is much nearer to Hong Kong. It was the world’s fourth busiest port in the world during the year 2005. Shenzhen airport is only 35 km from center of Shenzhen and this airport connects the city to different parts of china. There is also a railway station in Shenzhen which helps in faster transportation for the locals and the tourists. Fast ferries like Shekou provide easy traveling through water also. Thus all these 3 modes of transport are very much beneficial to the great population residing there.

Thus executive travel in Shenzhen is well worth the money spent, as the city provides living to a large number of people from all parts of china. This adds also to the woes of the city. The population has become much higher due to all these facts. Even then too the tourist attractions remain attractive. It is one among those tourist spots in Asia preferred by both the rich and the poor. The attractive climate along with the powerful economy adds to these cities attractions.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently owns and manages 54 hotels under Shangri-La and Traders brands with a rooms inventory of over 27,000. Shangri-La hotels are five-star deluxe properties featuring extensive luxury facilities and services.
